My favorite love story is the genesis of my very existence. One wintery evening in Bertie County, North Carolina, Evelyn Watford was warming up for her Varsity basketball game, when He walked through the gym doors. She froze in time and life flashed before her eyes. She saw it all in just a few seconds of catching his gaze. Love. Family. Community. Forever. Who is he? He is Wilson Goode. The man who made it his mission to find Evelyn after her game and start a conversation that never ended. One daughter and two grandchildren later… The two had no idea at the time but they built something together that would impact everyone they touched.

Goode & Plenty is the only way I can start to repay my grandparents for showing me the blueprint for an abundant life filled with so much love and support. To selflessly serve others in their journey of love. That was what Wilson Goode was about. In 2017 he became our angel and left behind a legacy of light that dwells deep inside my soul.

This light has been burning in my heart and in 2025, I decided to use my God-given gifts as a vessel to serve couples in their journey to forever. Wilson and Evelyn’s decision to get married and start a family, changed the entire trajectory of our bloodline. I will forever be inspired by their commitment to family, faith and community. The love that made me who I am today overflows into the work that I so proudly do.
